In February 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine which sparked the biggest conflict in Europe since World War II. Over the subsequent years, drone attacks and combat fighting have dominated the news, but for the vodka industry there’s a completely different narrative less told.

UK-based vodka brand Desi Daru has announced a partnership with Dhall Foods and Beverages, a leading Indian importer and distributor. 

Ukrainian vodka brand Dima’s has launched a fundraising initiative to support British-Ukrainian Aid and Come Back Alive, which see all proceeds from the purchase of four bottled cocktails going to charity.

SPI Group has agreed a new distribution deal with Velier, for the entire Stolichnaya portfolio in Italy.

Brown-Forman has acquired the Maximus vodka brand from Altia. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
